As you know, Neelambari is supposed to be a sleep-inducing raga.

Carnatic kritis in this raga include maadhava maamava (മാധവ മാമവ), uyyaalalooga vaiya (ഉയാല ലൂഗ വയ്യാ), yeppaDittaan yen uLLam (യെപ്പടിത്താന്‍ യെന്‍ ഉള്ളം) etc.

Regarding Abhogi, surprisingly there aren't many film songs, even though it is such a beautiful raga.
Of course, you know 'maamaankam palakuri kondaadi', shankara dhyaana prakaaram japichchu nhaan' are very well known non-filmi songs in this raga.

Do suggest what else you would like to see from this blog.

വളരെ നന്ദി. പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഇതിന്റെ പിന്നിലെ അധ്വാനം recognise ചെയ്തതില്.

ഒരു രാഗോല്‍സവം-without-too-many-technical-details ആയിരുന്നു മനസ്സില്. ആദ്യം ഒറ്റയടിക്ക് 6 popular രാഗങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്തു. അതിലെ കോട്ടങ്ങള്‍ ഒരു പരിധി വരെ പരിഹരിച്ച് കൊണ്ട് എട്ടെണ്ണം വേറെയും. പക്ഷെ പ്രധാന പ്രശ്നം പരിപാടിയുടെ സമയക്കുറവാണ്. അത് ഇനിയും കാര്യമായി കൂട്ടിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റിയിട്ടില്ല. പക്ഷെ എന്തായാലും അടുത്ത ആഴ്ച്ച മുതല്‍ (june 30th onwards - till around mid august) കുറച്ചു കൂടി better episodes കാണാന്‍ പറ്റും (more singing, less chatting etc.)

but again, in this current avatar, it is still primarily an Antakshari program, and the skills expected more are that of a TV anchor, so not too sure what direction this program will take in the coming months...
