Lyrics: Yogesh
Movie: Anand Mahal
This was Yesudas' first hindi song, but the movie was not released.
Not sure about the hindustani raga (as well as it's carnatic equivalent, if any). Any ideas?

hi ram, very nice singing.Couldnt follow the text of malayalam.Nice to see a blog with lot of classical songs.
Thanks sowmya.
I've tried to provide the content in english as well as malayalam. Keep visiting!
രാമാ.. രണ്ട് കാര്യങ്ങള്:
cibu,
for the new songs to be on the player, i have to upload the audio (and make a post) in 2 places (which is a pain - it's like maintaining a mirror site/blog). too bad 'odeo' doesn't give me a consolidated player like the one I have from podomatic.
i'm not sure what the best solution is.
Hi Ramakrishnan,
Nice rendition...
I don't know the raga name but I think the Malayalam duet song "Thaalam sruthilaya thaalam, raagam anupama raagam" (Movie : "Kaaryam Nissaram") is also in the same raagam. Please double check.
-Kishor(REC)
I doubt whether this is based on a raga.Harmony is the essence Salil Choudhry's music.I think this song is woven by sudh swaras plus komal 'ni'
kishor,
nice to see you. keep up the good work on your site. i vaguely recall the song u mentioned. will try listening to that.
suralogam,
tks for your valuable inputs as usual.
i noticed the sudh notes, and I do think (theoretically atleast) there is some underlying raga (that contains all these notes). there is consistency in all the 3 paragraphs, but i haven't really analyzed it line by line.
but again, i shouldn't have to. most of the time, we can easily identify an underlying base raga (even though on closer look we may notice an extra note or two). but in this case, I see shades of 2 or 3 ragas.
thanks again.
Malagunji Hindusthani raagam and supposed to be equivalent to Hamsanaadam in Carnatic
